- จุดชมทิวทัศน์พระอาทิตย์ตกดินที่สวยงาม ซึ่งอยู่ในบริเวณเขตห้ามล่าสัตว์ป่าถ้ำผาน้ำทิพย์ ผืนป่าอนุรักษ์ที่มีความอุดมสมบูรณ์ผืนสุดท้ายในเขตภาคอีสานตอนบน เป็นผืนป่าที่เคยเป็นแหล่งหลบซ่อนและที่ตั้งฐานกำลังใหญ่ของพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์แห่งประเทศไทยในระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2516 - พ.ศ. 2523 มีอาณาเขตครอบคลุมพื้นที่ 3 จังหวัด ได้แก่ ร้อยเอ็ด กาฬสินธุ์ และมุกดาหาร ความอุดมสมบูรณ์และเรื่องราวของผืนป่าแห่งนี้เป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้อย่างดีของเยาวชนและนักท่องเที่ยวผู้ชื่นชอบในความงามของธรรมชาติ ซึ่งพร้อมต้อนรับผู้มาเยือนอยู่เสมอ


ลักษณะภูมิประเทศ

-โดยทั่วไปเป็นเทือกเขาสูงสลับซับซ้อน มีความสูงจากระดับน้ำทะเลปานกลาง 200-600 เมตร

สุนัขจิ้งจอก, อีเห็น, กระรอก, กระแต ฯลฯ
2. สัตว์เลื้อยคลาน เช่น งูจงอาง, งูเหลือม,
งูเห่า, งูเขียว ฯลฯ
3. สัตว์ปีก เช่น เหยี่ยว, นกบั้งรอกใหญ่, นกโพ
