•โรงเรียนคณะราษฎรบํารุง จังหวัดยะลา เป็นโรงเรียนที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดของยะลา แรกเริ่ม โรงเรียนนี้ตั้งอยู่หมู่ที่ ๓ บ้านลิมุด ตำบลท่าสาป เมื่อ พ.ศ.๒๔๕๒ เปิดสอนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ ๑ โดยมีรองอำมาตย์ตรีสด สุขหุต เป็นครูใหญ่คนแรก ตั้งชื้อว่า "โรงเรียนจังหวัดยะลา" ประมาณ พ.ศ. ๒๔๕๕ พระยาณรงค์ฤทธิ์ศรีประเทศ วิเศษวังษา เจ้าเมืองยะลาในสมัยนั้น ได้มอบเงินจำนวนหนึ่งให้สร้างโรงเรียนใหม่ ที่ฝั่งขวาของแม่น้ำปัตตานี ซึ่งเป็นฝั่งเดียวกับที่ตั้งศาลากลางจังหวัดยะลาในสมัยนั้น คือที่หมู่บ้างสะเตง และย้ายโรงเรียนมาจากบ้านลิมุด ปี พ.ศ.๒๔๕๖ และขนานนาม ว่า โรงเรียนณรงค์ฤทธิ์ยะลาราษฎรบำรุง และขยายชั้นเรียนเพิ่มขึ้นทุกปี ตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. ๒๔๗๘ จัดสอนเป็น ๒ ระดับคือ ระดับประถมศึกษามีชั้นประถม ศึกษาปีที่ ๑ ถึงชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ ๔ ระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษา มีชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปี่ที่ ๑ ถึง ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปี่ที่ ๔ ปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๗๙ โรงเรียนมีชั้นเรียน ๘ ชั้น คือ ชั้น จำนวนนักเรียนมีมากจนสถานที่เรียนไม่เพียงพอ และคับแคบ เมื่อได้รับงบประมาณแผ่นดิน จำนวน ๖,๐๐๐ บาท และเงินสบทบ ของ สมาคมคณะราษฎร์ จังหวัดยะลา อีก ๒,๐๐๐ บาทจึงมาสร้าง โรงเรียนใหม่ที่ หมู่บ้านนิบง ตำบลสะเตง อำเภอเมืองยะลา คือ ที่ตั้ง โรงเรียน ปัจจุบัน สร้างอาคารเรียนถาวรเป็นอาคารไม้ ๒ ชั้น มี ๖ ห้องเรียน และห้องมุข ขนาดใหญ่ใช้เป็นห้องเรียนได้อีก ๒ ห้อง สิ้นเงินงบก่อสร้าง ๘,๐๐๐ บาท แล้วได้ย้ายโรงเรียนมาใน ปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๘๐ ได้เปลี่ยนชื่อโรงเรียน ใหญ่ว่า "โรงเรียนคณะราษฎรบำรุง"เปิดสอนในระดับมัธยมศึกษาตั้งแต่ชั้น มัธยมศึกษาปีที่ ๑ ถึง ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ ๖ ต่อมาประมาณปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๙๖ กรมวิสามัธศึกษา ได้ประกาศปรับปรุงชื่อโรงเรียนเสียใหม่ทั่วประเทศ เพื่อความเหมาะสม จึงได้เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น "โรงเรียนคณะราษฎรบำรุง จังหวัดยะลา"
