ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) การดำเนินงานการประกันคุณภาพภายในของศูนย์การศึกษานอกระบบและการศึกษาตามอัธยาศัยเขต ในกรุงเทพมหานคร โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ทั้งนี้ด้านที่มีระดับการดำเนินงานการประกันคุณภาพภายในจากมากไปหาน้อย ได้แก่ ด้านการควบคุมคุณภาพการศึกษา ด้านการประเมินคุณภาพการศึกษา และ ด้านการตรวจสอบทบทวนคุณภาพการศึกษา และ(2) เมื่อเปรียบเทียบระดับการดำเนินงานการประกันคุณภาพภายในของบุคลากรครูที่แตกต่างกันตามขนาดของ กศน.เขต และสถานภาพของบุคลากรครู พบว่า มีระดับการดำเนินงานการประกันคุณภาพไม่แตกต่างกัน และ(3) ข้อเสนอแนะในการปรับปรุงและพัฒนา พบว่า หน่วยงานต้นสังกัดควรมีการนิเทศเครื่องมือก่อนการดำเนินงานการประกันคุณภาพ ควรจัดอบรมให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการจัดทำแผนพัฒนาคุณภาพการศึกษาและการจัดทำคู่มือระบบการทำงาน กศน.เขตควรมีการปรับปรุงและพัฒนา วัตถุประสงค์ กลยุทธ์ ให้มีความสอดคล้องกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคม ปรับมาตรฐานการประกันคุณภาพภายนอกให้สอดคล้องกับบริบทของ กศน. ควรจัดทำแผนพัฒนาคุณภาพการศึกษาและการจัดทำคู่มือระบบการทำงานอย่างต่อเนื่อง จัดประชุมให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับงานการประกันคุณภาพทุกสัปดาห์ ควรให้บุคลากรในสถานศึกษาทุกคนมีส่วนร่วมในการกำหนดมาตรฐานการศึกษา จัดอบรมให้ความรู้และสร้างความตระหนักให้กับบุคลากร ควรแต่งตั้งคำสั่งผู้รับผิดชอบงานประกันคุณภาพ ควรนำแผนการดำเนินงานการประเมินคุณภาพไปปรับปรุงกลยุทธ์ แผนพัฒนาคุณภาพการศึกษา การประเมินผลกิจกรรมโครงการควรนำไปเปรียบเทียบกับเป้าหมายของสถานศึกษา ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ตามแผนงานของสถานศึกษาให้เป็นไปตามปัจจุบัน แต่งตั้งคณะกรรมการตรวจสอบทบทวนคุณภาพ ควรนำข้อเสนอแนะต่างๆที่ได้รับจากการประเมินมาพัฒนาและปรับปรุงการทำงานทั้งระบบ
