เนื่องจากสมาพันธ์นิสิตนักศึกษามุสลิมแห่งประเทศไทย (สนมท) ในฐานะองค์กรกลางของนิสิตนักศึกษามุสลิมในประเทศไทย จัดโครงการ “รวมพลังน้ำใจ แบ่งปันสู่ผู้ประสบภัยน้ำท่วม” ระหว่างวันที่ ๑๔-๒๔ มกราคม ๒๕๕๘ ณ จังหวัดยะลา นราธิวาส ปัตตานี และสงขลาจึงเล็งเห็นความสำคัญในการช่วยเหลือฟื้นฟู และเยียวยาประชาชนที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากอุทกภัย ในครั้งนี้
ดังนั้นทางสมาพันธ์นิสิตนักศึกษามุสลิมแห่งประเทศไทยได้เห็นความเดือดร้อนในพื้นที่ต่างๆที่ประสบภัยน้ำท่วม จึงใคร่ขอความอนุเคราะห์สมทบทุนหรือสิ่งของอุปโภคบริโภคต่างๆ เพื่อให้ความช่วยเหลือแด่ผู้ประสบภัยน้ำท่วมในครั้งนี้
