ความเป็นมาของโครงการ :

มูลนิธิชัยพัฒนาได้รับการโอนกรรมสิทธิ์ในที่ดิน 39 ไร่ 1 งาน 11 ตารางวา เมื่อปี 2541 ณ ต.ท่าแร้ง อ.บ้านแหลม จึงได้ร่วมกับ สนง.กปร.และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องดำเนินโครงการโดยกรมวิชาการเกษตร จัดทำโครงการทดสอบระบบการปลูกพืชเศรษฐกิจแบบผสมผสานและสถานีทดลองพืชสวนเพชรบุรี จัดทำ / วางแผนการดำเนินงานให้สอดคล้องกับพระราชดำริ

วัตถุประสงค์ :

จัดทำโครงการทดสอบระบบการปลูกพืชเศรษฐกิจแบบผสมผสาน โดยการทดสอบแปลงปลูกไม้หอม พืชสมุนไพร ปลูกไม้ผล ปลูกไม้ยืนต้นในบริเวณคันกั้นน้ำ ปลูกข้าวนาปีและนาปรังทดสอบระบบส่งน้ำและระบายน้ำเข้าออกแปลงพืชไร่และพืชสวน รวมทั้งถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยีการเกษตร โดยเริ่มดำเนินการ เมื่อปี 2542 เป็นต้นมา



ผลการดำเนินงาน :

1. แปลงนา พื้นที่ 10 ไร่

ปี 2542 - 2546 ปีแรกของการดำเนินงานจะเป็นการปรับปรุงบำรุงดินเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาดินเค็ม โดยใช้โสนอัฟริกัน แกลบ ปุ๋ยหมัก และปุ๋ยคอก เป็นวัสดุปรับปรุงดิน และทดลองนำข้าวพันธุ์ชัยนาท 1 และสุพรรณบุรี 1 มาทดลองปลูกได้ผลผลิตอยู่ระหว่าง 220 - 364 และ 350 - 440 กก./ไร่ ตามลำดับ

ปี 2547 ได้นำข้าวขาวดอกมะลิ 105 มาปลูกสาธิตในพื้นที่ได้ผลผลิตเฉลี่ย 295 กก./ไร่

2. สระน้ำ พื้นที่ 10 ไร่ ระบายน้ำเข้าสระเพื่อเลี้ยงปลาและเก็บไว้ใช้ในการทำนา

3. แปลงพืชไร่ พื้นที่ 1 ไร่ 3 งาน ปลูกถั่วเหลือง, ถั่วเขียว, ข้าวโพด, อ้อย

4. แปลงพืชผัก/ไม้ดอก พื้นที่ 1 ไร่ ปลูกผักคะน้า, ผักบุ้ง, ผักกาดขาว, ดอกคัตเตอร์, สร้อยทอง, มาร์กาเร็ท , ดาวเรือง

5. แปลงสวน พื้นที่ 5 ไร่ ปลูกมะนาว, ฝรั่ง, ลำไย, มะกอกน้ำมัน, ละมุด, ทุเรียนเทศ และปลูกหมอนเป็นพืชแซมในร่องทุเรียนเทศ

6. กิจกรรมเสริม ทำน้ำสกัดชีวภาพเพื่อใช้ในโครงการและจำหน่ายเกษตรกร




ประโยชน์ของโครงการ :

1. ทำให้เกษตรกรในพื้นที่ตำบลท่าแร้ง อำเภอบ้านแหลม จังหวัด เพชรบุรีมากกว่า 1,000 ครอบครัว ได้มาศึกษาเทคโนโลยีด้าน การเกษตร เพื่อนำไปเป็นแบบอย่างในการตัดสินใจประกอบอาชีพ การเกษตรต่อไป
