1.1 ที่มาและความสำคัญของโครงงาน
เนื่องจากเชียงใหม่เป็นจังหวัดที่มีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่สำคัญของประเทศไทยมีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวมากมายที่บ่งบอกถึงวิถีชีวิต ความเป็นเอกลักษณ์และ วัฒนธรรมของชาวล้านนา อีกทั้งยังมีอากาศที่บริสุทธิ์เมื่อได้แวะไปเยี่ยมชมแล้วทำให้รู้สึกสดชื่นและทำให้ผ่อนคลาย สถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ไม่ใช่มีเพียงนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยเท่านั้นให้ความนิยมแวะมาท่องเที่ยวและพักผ่อนหย่อนใจ แต่ยังมีนักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาติอีกหลายประเทศที่นิยมมาท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ กลุ่มของข้าพเจ้าจึงเล็งเห็นถึงความสำคัญจึงได้จัดทำโครงงานนี้ขึ้นมา เพื่อให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวและที่ตั้งของสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวนั้นๆเพื่อให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับวัฒนธรรมและการทักทายในกลุ่มประชาคมอาเซียน ให้นักเรียนภายในโรงเรียนบางลี่วิทยาได้รู้ถึงความเป็นมาของสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวต่างๆในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ และวัฒนธรรมประเพณีของชาวเชียงใหม่
1.2 วัตถุประสงค์ของการจัดสร้างโครงงาน
1. เพื่อให้นักเรียนโรงเรียนบางลี่วิทยาได้รู้จักสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่ตั้งของสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่
2. เพื่อให้นักเรียนโรงเรียนบางลี่วิทยาได้รู้เกี่ยวกับวัฒนธรรมของชาวเชียงใหม่
3. เพื่อให้ความรู้กับนักเรียนโรงเรียนบางลี่วิทยา
4. เพื่อฝึกทำงานเป็นหมู่คณะ

1.3 ขอบเขตของการจัดสร้างโครงงาน
นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 จำนวน 100 คน

1.4 ประโยชน์ที่คาดว่าจะได้รับ
1. ทำให้ผู้จัดทำโครงงานได้รู้จักสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ได้มากขึ้น
2. นักเรียนโรงเรียนบางลี่วิทยาได้รู้จักสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่มากขึ้น
3. เป็นการเชิญชวนให้หันมาท่องเที่ยวในประเทศไทย
