บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอรูปแบบการจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบ Active Learning รวมทั้งนำเสนอผลและความพึงพอใจ ของการจัดหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมระยะสั้น เรื่อง “การพัฒนาศิลปะการอ่านคำประพันธ์ไทย เรื่อง “กาพย์” โดยบูรณาการการจัดกิจกรรม Active Learning เป็นฐาน” ให้แก่นิสิตสาขาวิชาภาษาไทย ชั้นปีที่ 3 คณะศึกษาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม โดยใช้วิธีการเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง ( Purposive sampling ) จำนวน 10 คน ซึ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ได้มาไม่เคยได้รับการฝึกอบรมเรื่องดังกล่าวมาก่อน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามความต้องการจำเป็นในการฝึกอบรม จำนวน 20 ชุด แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นก่อนและหลังฝึกอบรม จำนวน 10 ชุด และแบบประเมินความพึงพอใจในการเข้ารับการฝึกอบรม จำนวน 10 ชุด ผลการศึกษาพบว่า รูปแบบการจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบ Active Learning มีรูปแบบค่อนข้างยืดหยุ่น (flexible) จึงทำให้สามารถออกแบบเทคนิคการสอนได้อย่างหลากหลาย รวมทั้งผลของการจัดฝึกอบรม พบว่า หลักสูตรสามารถพัฒนาผู้เรียนให้สามารถอ่านออกเสียงท่วงทำนองเสนาะเรื่อง “กาพย์” ได้ นิสิตสามารถประยุกต์ใช้รูปแบบการจัดการเรียนการสอนแบบ Active Learning กับการสอนวิชาภาษาไทย สาระอื่นๆ ได้ รวมทั้งนิสิตมีความพึงพอใจในการเข้ารับการฝึกอบรมในครั้งนี้อยู่ในระดับมาก
