คุณปริยา จีระพันธุ์ รองประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายปฏิบัติการอาวุโส ผู้แทน บริษัท หาดทิพย์ จำกัด (มหาชน) รับพระราชทานรางวัลชนะเลิศ “หญ้าแฝกทองคำ” พร้อมโล่ พระราชทานพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวฯ และ เงินรางวัล จากการประกวดการพัฒนา และ รณรงค์การใช้หญ้าแฝก อันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริ ครั้งที่ 9 ประจำปี 2557-2558 ประเภทการปลูกและส่งเสริมการปลูก แก่ บริษัท หาดทิพย์ จำกัด (มหาชน) โรงงานพุนพิน ซึ่งได้น้อมนำแนวพระราชดำริฯ การปลูกหญ้าแฝก รอบๆโรงงานพุนพิน ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2555 โดยปลูกหญ้าแฝกตามแนวพื้นที่ลาดชัน รอบคันบ่อบำบัดน้ำเสีย และทำแพหญ้าแฝกเพื่อบำบัดน้ำเสีย ในพื้นที่กว่า 15,000 ตารางเมตร เป็นจำนวนกว่า 620,000 ต้น เพื่อลดปัญหาน้ำกัดเซาะหน้าดิน ช่วยปรับคุณภาพดินให้ดีขึ้น และสามารถขยายผลการใช้ประโยชน์จากหญ้าแฝกในด้านอื่นๆ การดำเนินงานอย่างต่อเนื่อง จึงเป็นต้นแบบในการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมที่ภาคเอกชนสามารถมีส่วนร่วมได้ และ สามารถขยายผลไปสู่ชุมชนรอบข้าง เพื่อการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน เมื่อ 15 มิถุนายน 2558
