You think you are all clever mudblood, but you're not" Malfoy said and he swiped his wand in my direction and I was knocked onto my back. After this everything went fast, I remember getting back up of the ground and seeing Harry and Ron duelling with Malfoy and Parkinson. I got up quickly and pointed my wand at Parkinson however she noticed me as she knocked Ron over Hagrid's pumpkin patch. I heard Ron wince in pain but he jumped over the wall quickly but it was too late. I was duelling with Parkinson, I signalled to Ron to leave it to me and he went to help Harry. It was going back and forth between us for a couple of minutes, until one of Parkinson's spells went off in the wrong way and caught the sleeping dragon's cage which woke it up. It screeched causing the keepers to start flying out to try and restrain the dragon again. However as I glanced at the dragon it was enough time for Parkinson to jinx me, this caused me to fall onto the ground as the dragon breathed a short burst of fire which caught half of my body.I screamed in pain and this caused everything to slow down and stop, I remember seeing Malfoy and Parkinson run off and Harry and Ron start to try and put the fire out with their wands. I felt as if my head was very heavy and I felt my voice just stop suddenly as I couldn't scream anymore. The last thing I remember is seeing dragon keepers standing above me trying to put out the fire...The next thing I remember is waking up in the hospital wing with burns on my left arm and leg, stomach and chest. The burns had caught my face and throat however Ron and Harry had got to them before they could get any worse. I couldn't really remember much of the first day as Madam Pomfrey had to keep giving me sleeping draught as when I woke up I kept screaming in pain. I've had burn cream and burn pads spread out amongst my body and tried to keep cool. Now Madam Pomfrey had still cover my body with burn cream and has been doing this every couple of hours. A healer from St Mungo's came to see me the first night to check that everything was okay because at one point it was thought that I might have needed to go to St Mungos. Thankfully I didn't need to and was treated behind the screens in the corner of the hospital wing. I've stayed hidden behind the light blue screens so I had a little bit of privacy. My parents came to see me as Dumbledore told them about my accident; they are staying in Hogsmede until I get back on my feet. They want me to go back home with them after I can go back to school properly, but I have refused this. I want to stay at Hogwarts and they are letting me stay. They understand that this is an important year for me. My burns don't look as bad now however I still need some looking after. When I asked when I could leave the hospital wing Madam Pomfrey said that I might be able to go back to my dorm after the weekend, and it can't come quick enough. She said that she wants to keep me longer just for observations, but she said she wants me to come and see her every morning before I go to class. I've also been instructed that if anything gets worse or changes I need to go straight back.I'm sad that I can't meet up with Cedric tomorrow night however I know we can rearrange this. I wish I could write back to Cedric or even get a message to him but Ron and Harry don't know I talk to him and I don't want them to start asking questions. My hands are starting to feel a little better, so hopefully I can write a letter tomorrow telling Cedric not to worry and that I will see him soon.
