การศึกษาวิจัยเรื่อง การจัดการทรัพยากรท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมบ้านโพน อำเภอคำม่วง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสภาพวิถีชีวิตของประชาชนบ้านโพน ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม และด้านวัฒนธรรมในปัจจุบันบ้านโพน อำเภอคำม่วง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ 2) สำรวจสภาพทรัพยากรท่องเที่ยวบ้านโพน อำเภอคำม่วง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ 3) ศึกษาสภาพปัญหาอุปสรรคและแนวโน้มการท่องเที่ยวบ้านโพน อำเภอคำม่วง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ 4) ศึกษาความคิดเห็นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการจัดการทรัพยากรท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมบ้านโพน อำเภอคำม่วง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ 5) เสนอแนะแนวทางการจัดการทรัพยากรท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมที่เหมาะสมต่อการจัดการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมบ้านโพน อำเภอคำม่วง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยใช้วิธีการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากภาคสนามในพื้นที่บ้านโพน อำเภอคำม่วง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ ด้วยการสำรวจทรัพยากรท่องเที่ยว การสัมภาษณ์ และใช้วิธีการเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง จากกลุ่มเป้าหมาย 3 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ 1) ประชาชนที่อาศัยอยู่ในพื้นที่บ้านโพน 2) เจ้าหน้าที่หน่วยงานภาครัฐ 3) นักท่องเที่ยวและประชาชนที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับการท่องเที่ยว และการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ได้ทำการวิเคราะห์ร่วมกับการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ ด้วยการแจกแบบสอบถาม เพื่อให้การวิจัยมีผลลัทธ์ที่มีความน่าเชื่อถือและความถูกต้องมากขึ้น ด้วยโปรมแกรมสำเร็จรูปทางสถิติ โดยใช้สถิติพื้นฐาน ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ในการวิเคราะห์ผลข้อมูล
