“พระธาตุสามดวง” ถือเป็นพุทธศาสนาที่

“พระธาตุสามดวง” ถือเป็นพุทธศาสนาที่เก่าแก่ที่หนึ่งในอำเภอพานที่น่าท่องเที่ยวเป็นอย่างยิ่ง ภายในบริเวณวัดมีพระธาตุตั้งอยู่ 3 องค์ แต่ละองค์ตั้งห่างกันประมาณ 100-200 เมตร และตั้งอยู่บนเนินสูงลดหลั่นกันลงไป ตามตำนานเล่าว่าพระธาตุองค์นี้สร้างขึ้นประมาณ พ.ศ.1839 ต่อมาได้มีการบูรณะเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2476 โดยคณะศิษยานุศิษย์ของครูบาศึลธรรมกับครูบาไชยาเพื่อใช้เป็นที่อยู่ปฏิบัติธรรมของพระสงฆ์ ปัจจุบันเป็นสถานทื่ท่องเที่ยวที่สำคัญที่หนึ่งในอำเภอพาน ในบริเวณพระธาตุสามดวงจะมองเห็นทิวทัศน์ของตัว อำเภอพาน ได้อย่างสวยงาม เดิมเป็นสถานที่ร้าง โดยมีซากเจดีย์ที่ก่อด้วยอิฐโบราณจำนวนสามองค์และพระพุทธรูปที่แกะสลักจากหินศิลาแลงชำรุดทุรดโทรมปรักหักพังอยู่เป็นจำนวนมาก ตามหลักฐานคือเศษอิฐที่ปรากฎอยู่ สันนิษฐานว่ามีอายุไม่ต่ำกว่า 700 ปี ขึ้นไป ภายหลังได้มีการลักลอบนำเอาซากพระพุทธรูปเหล่านั้นไปหมด คงเหลือแต่ซากพระเจดีย์
