ภาษาคาราโอเกะ (๑)

คําว่า "คาราโอเกะ" เป็นภาษาญี่ปุ่นที่เกิดขึ้นใหม่ โดยนำคำว่า "คารา" (kara) ซึ่งแปลว่า "ว่างเปล่า" มาผสมกับคำยืมจากภาษาอังกฤษว่า "โอเกะ" (จากคำว่า orchestra) รวมความแล้วมีความหมายถึงเพลงที่มีแต่เสียงดนตรี ไม่มีเสียงนักร้อง แต่มีเนื้อร้องปรากฏเลื่อนไปตามส่วนล่างของจอ เพื่อให้คนที่ชอบร้องเพลงได้ร้องไปตามทำนอง และได้ดูภาพสวยๆ ที่อาจจะเกี่ยวข้องหรือไม่เกี่ยวข้องกับเพลงนั้นๆ ก็ได้

นักนิยมร้องเพลงทั่วโลกรวมทั้งเมืองไทยด้วยคงรู้จักกับคาราโอเกะ ที่ฝรั่งออกเสียงว่า "คาริโอกี" ได้ดีอยู่แล้ว
