ทำหน้าที่ตรวจสอบคุณภาพของชิ้นงานในระหว่างการผลิตโดยใช้เครื่องมือในการตรวจสอบ เช่น กล้องขยาย เพื่องเช็คชิ้นงานที่เป็นครีบและไม่สามารถมองเห็นด้วยสายตาเปล่าได้,JIG ใช้เช็คชิ้นงานที่โก่งงอ หรือแอ่น ซึ่งจะแบ่งการตรวจสอบออกเป็น 2 ชนิดคือ
1. การตรวจสอบชิ้นงานในจุดที่สำคัญทุกจุด โดยอ้างอิงจากเอกสาร OPERATION STANDARD (OS)
2. ตรวจสอบชิ้นงานในจุดที่เคยเกิดปัญหากับชิ้นงานนั้นๆ เช่น ส่วนยื่นในรูของชิ้น
