การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของถังหยอดข้าว เพื่อป้องกันท่าทางการทางานที่ไม่เหมาะสม และลดความปวดของกล้ามเนื้อหลัง โดยทาการศึกษาในกลุ่มเกษตรกรปลูกข้าวบ้านเข็กน้อย หมู่ที่ 9 ตาบลเข็กน้อย อาเภอเขาค้อ จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ จานวน 30 คน โดยให้ทดลองใช้ถังหยอดข้าว ดำเนินการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล 3 ส่วน ได้แก่ 1) ข้อมูลทั่วไป 2) แบบประเมินความปวดของกล้ามเนื้อหลังโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม (NRS) 3) แบบประเมินท่าทางทางการยศาสตร์ (RULA) เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล 2 ครั้ง คือก่อนและหลังการทดลองด้วยแบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ความถี่ ร้อยละ และสถิติเชิงอนุมาน (Paired t-test) ในการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบความปวดของกล้ามเนื้อหลัง และท่าทางการทางานก่อนและหลังการใช้ถังหยอดข้าว ที่ระดับความเชื่อมั่น 95%
ผลการศึกษา ก่อนการใช้ถังหยอดข้าวคะแนนท่าทางการทางานเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 6.53 และภายหลังเท่ากับ 4.10 พบว่าภายหลังการทดลองใช้ถังหยอดข้าวคะแนนเฉลี่ยท่าทางการทำงานลดลงจากก่อนทดลองใช้ถังหยอดข้าวอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p–value = 0.001) และก่อนการใช้ถังหยอดข้าวคะแนนความปวดของกล้ามเนื้อหลังเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 7.33 และภายหลังการใช้ถังหยอดข้าวคะแนนความปวดของกล้ามเนื้อหลังเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 6.17 พบว่าภายหลังการทดลองใช้ถังหยอดข้าวคะแนนเฉลี่ยความรู้สึกปวดของกล้ามเนื้อหลังลดลงจากก่อนทดลองใช้ถังหยอดข้าว อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ
