มาริสากล่าวว่า รู้สึกขอบคุณอย่างยิ่ง ที่ได้เป็นหนึ่งในสตรีนักธุรกิจทั้ง 9 ท่าน กับรางวัล "สุดยอดสตรีนักธุรกิจอนุรักษ์โลก ปี 2558 นี้" ...ตลอดระยะเวลากว่า 10 ปีที่ผ่านมา ล่าสุดเมื่อปีที่ผ่านมา เธอ ในฐานะ "ประธานฝ่ายสิ่งแวดล้อมของสมาคมโรงแรมไทย" กับการเป็นผู้บุกเบิกและส่งเสริมโครงการที่เป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อมต่างๆ ตลอดจนผลักดันให้โรงแรมในเครือสุโกศล และโรงแรมอื่นๆ ในประเทศไทยให้เข้าร่วมงานสัมมนา และร่วมในโครงการต่างๆ อาทิ โครงการโรงแรมใบไม้เขียว โครงการโรงแรมปลอดบุหรี่ โครงการ Zero Carbon Resort ของมูลนิธิใบไม้เขียว โครงการ Green Hotel ของกรมส่งเสริมคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม โครงการลดก๊าซเรือนกระจกขององค์การบริหารจัดการก๊าซเรือนกระจก และ ASEAN Green Hotel ของกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวฯ ฯลฯ

"อุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวที่เติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว ซึ่งมักจะมีผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและชุมชนท้องถิ่น ดังนั้นจึงถึงเวลาแล้วที่พวกเราทุกคน ควรจะช่วยกันให้ความเป็นสีเขียวกลับคืนสู่ธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมของโลกเรา" มาริสากล่าว

ดร.ชนม์ชนก วีรวรรณ ที่ปรึกษาสหพันธ์ฯ และประธานโครงการสุดยอดสตรีนักอนุรักษ์โลก กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า สตรีนักธุรกิจทั้ง 9 ท่าน ที่ได้รับรางวัลสุดยอดนักธุรกิจอนุรักษ์โลกในปี 2558 นี้ มีทั้งสตรีนักธุรกิจระดับใหญ่ กลาง เล็ก และสตรีผู้นำวิสาหกิจชุมชน ซึ่งได้ใช้กลยุทธ์ธุรกิจที่เป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม พัฒนาคนให้มีจิตสำนึกอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม และช่วยผลักดันให้อุตสาหกรรมสีเขียว (Green Industry) เติบโตยิ่งขึ้น เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นว่าการทำธุรกิจอย่างเป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อมคุ้มค่าและมีคุณค่าเป็นอย่างยิ่ง
