วัดศรีรัตนาราม หรือที่ชาวบ้านเรียกขานกันทั่วไปว่า “วัดบางพัง” ตั้งอยู่ เลขที่ 39 บ้านคลองบางพัง ซอยสวัสดี หมู่ที่ 2 ต.บางพูด อ.ปากเกร็ด จ.นนทบุรี สังกัดมหานิกาย เป็นวัดโบราณสร้างครั้งสมัยอยุธยาตอนปลาย ราวปี พ.ศ. 2305 ไม่ทราบนามผู้สร้างชัดเจน ชาวบ้านนิยมเรียกว่า “วัดบางพัง” ตามท้องที่ที่ตั้งไว้ซึ่งเป็นที่รู้จักกันดี สาเหตุที่ชื่อวัดบางพังนั้นผู้เฒ่าผู้แก่เล่าให้ฟังว่า เพราะน้ำในแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยากัดเซาะพื้นดินริมตลิ่งแถบบริเวณนั้นพังมากเป็นบริเวณกว้างมาตั้งแต่สมัยโบราณแล้ว จึงได้เรียกกันว่าตลิ่งพังแล้วและกลายมาเป็นบางพังในที่สุด วัดนี้ตั้งอยู่ริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ปัจจุบันมีทางรถยนต์ตัดเข้าถึงวัดทำให้การคมนาคมไปมาหาสู่กันสะดวกมากขึ้น
