บทคัดย่อ
การทำปุ๋ยหมักชุมชนมีกระบวนการใช้วัตถุดิบที่หลากหลายจากอุตสาหกรรม เกษตรกรรม ชุมชน ในการทำปุ๋ยหมักซึ่งเป็นการจัดการของเสียที่เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุดและมีการพัฒนาด้านเทคโนโลยีการทำปุ๋ยหมักที่เหมาะสมกับชุมชน จากกรณีการศึกษาการทำปุ๋ยหมักชุมชนในภาคใต้ ได้แก่ จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี นครศรีธรรมราช พัทลุง และสงขลา ในแต่ละจังหวัดโรงงานประสบปัญหาที่คล้ายกัน คือ ปัญหาด้านวัตถุดิบ ต้นทุน เทคนิคการผลิต และแรงงานคน โดยรัฐบาลมีโครงการหนึ่งอำเภอหนึ่งโรงงานปุ๋ยให้ชุมชน เพื่อเป็นรายได้เสริมแก่ชุมชนและมีการกำหนดแหล่งวัตถุดิบที่ใช้ในการทำปุ๋ยหมักใน 4 จังหวัด เช่น การใช้กากของเสียอุตสาหกรรมจากโรงงานสกัดน้ำมันปาล์ม มูลสัตว์ และของเสียจากเกษตรชุมชน รวมไปถึงการกำหนดธาตุอาหารหลัก คือ N, P2O5, และ K2O อยู่ในช่วง 0.3-5.7%, 0.1-12.7% และ 0.1-14.6% (น้ำหนักเปียก) ตามลำดับ ซึ่งในกระบวนการทำปุ๋ยหมักจะใช้หลักการแบบหมักในซองมีการกลับปุ๋ยหมักในซอง และการหมักแบบพลิกกลับกองซึ่งเป็นการหมักที่มีประสิทธิภาพ ผลการศึกษาการวิเคราะห์คุณภาพปุ๋ยหมักทางกายภาพ-เคมีทั้งหมด 45 ตัวอย่างเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับมาตรฐานปุ๋ยอินทรีย์/ปุ๋ยหมัก พบว่าคุณภาพของผลผลิตปุ๋ยหมักไม่ผ่านเกณฑ์มาตรฐานปุ๋ยหมักตามพารามิเตอร์ ดังนั้นมีการปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพของโรงงานปุ๋ยหมักในการผลิตให้เป็นไปตามมาตรฐานปุ๋ยหมัก เกิดผลพลอยได้และเป็นทรัพยากรที่มีคุณค่า
