กลุ่มเป้าหมายในการปฏิบัติงานสังคมสงเคราะห์ในสถานพินิจและคุ้มครองเด็กและเยาวชน
การปฏิบัติงานสังคมสงเคราะห์ของกรมพินิจและคุ้มครองเด็กและเยาวชน ให้ความสำคัญกับการให้ความช่วยเหลือเด็ก/เยาวชน ครอบครัว และชุมชน โดยเฉพาะการให้ชุมชนเข้ามามีส่วนในการให้ความช่วยเหลือและป้องกันการกระทำผิดของเด็กและเยาวชน มีกลุ่มเป้าหมายดังนี้
1. เด็กและเยาวชนที่ถูกกล่าวหาว่ากระทำผิด แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ประเภท คือ
- เด็กและเยาวชนที่ได้รับการประกันตัว
- เด็กและเยาวชนที่อยู่ในเกณฑ์ตามมาตรา 63
- เด็กและเยาวชนที่ได้รับการควบคุมตัวในสถานแรกรับ
2. เด็กและเยาวชนที่ศาลมีคำพิพากษาให้เข้ารับการฝึกอบรม แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ประเภท
- เด็กและเยาวชนที่อยู่ในศูนย์ฝึกและอบรมฯ
- เด็กและเยาวชนที่ได้รับอนุญาตจากศูนย์ฝึกและอบรมฯหรือศาลในกรณีพิเศษต่าง ๆ
- เด็กและเยาวชนที่ได้รับการปล่อยตัวจากศูนย์ฝึกและอบรมเมื่อครบกำหนดตามคำสั่งศาล
