แต่ในวันนั้นอนุเสาวรีย์ปิดเพราะมี............. รถบัสไปถึงแค่วังสวนจิตลดา ฉันจึงลงรถและเดินไปรอรถเพื่อที่จะไปพญาไท ทันใดนั้น มีรถแท็กซี่ มาจอดตรงหน้าฉันกับเพื่อน แล้วมีผู้หญิงคนหนึ่งซึ่งฉันก็ไมรู้จักเธอ เปิดกระจกมาถามฉันกับเพื่อนว่า ฉันจะไปรถไฟฟ้าสยามไปด้วยกันไหม? ฉันกับเพื่อนมองหน้ากันแล้วตกลงทันที เพราะสถานการณ์ขับขัน พวกเราขึ้นรถแท็กซี่ไปกับเธอจนถึงสยาม ค่ารถประมาณ 65 บาท พวกเราก็บอกเธอว่าจะช่วยออกค่ารถ แต่ เธอบอกว่า ไม่เป็นไร เพราะเธอต้องมาอยู่แล้ว พวกเราก็ขอบคุณเธอ เธอก็เดินจากเราไปฉันได้แต่มองตามหลังเธอไปด้วยความประทับใจในน้ำใจของเธอที่มีต่อฉันกับเพื่อน ทั้งที่ไม่รู้จักกันเลย ฉันคิดว่า ถึงแม้บ้านเมืองเราจะยังไม่สงบ แต่ก็ยังสามารถเห็นน้ำใจอันงดงานของคนไทยได้
