งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาแนวทางการประเมินการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก และปริมาณการใช้ทรัพยากรของอาคารสำนักงาน เพื่อวิเคราะห์หาวิธีการและประโยชน์ที่ได้จากการลดปริมาณการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกและการใช้ทรัพยากรของอาคารสำนักงานเอกชน ประยุกต์ตามแนวทางอาคารสีเขียว โดยใช้การประเมินคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์ขององค์กรตามแนวทางขององค์การบริหารจัดการก๊าซเรือนกระจก (องค์การมหาชน) เป็นค่าคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่า (CO2e) ที่เกิดขึ้นจากกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่ก่อให้เกิดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก และวอเตอร์ฟุตพริ้นท์ประเมินการใช้น้ำของพนักงานที่ทำงานอยู่ในอาคารเป็นลูกบาศก์เมตรต่อคนต่อปี จากผลการศึกษาพบว่าปริมาณการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกจากกิจกรรมภายในอาคารสำนักงานคิดเป็น 167,593.73 กิโลกรัมคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่าต่อปี จากหลักเกณฑ์การดำเนินงานโดยวิธีการควบคุมการดำเนินงาน (Operation Control Approach) โดยกำหนดให้องค์กรแสดงค่าการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก 2 ประเภท คือประเภทที่ 1 การปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกโดยตรง พบว่ามีแหล่งกำเนิดหลักคือการระเหยของสารทำความเย็นในเครื่องปรับอากาศภายในองค์กรที่องค์กรเป็นเจ้าของ 108,600 กิโลกรัมคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่าต่อปี คิดเป็นร้อยละ 64.80 ของปริมาณการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกที่เกิดขึ้นทั้งหมดต่อปี รองลงมาเป็นการใช้เชื้อเพลิงในยานพาหนะขององค์กร คิดเป็นร้อยละ 32.08 และประเภทที่ 2 การปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกทางอ้อมจากการใช้พลังงาน พบว่าปริมาณการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกเป็น 2,741.99 กิโลกรัมคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่าต่อปี นอกจากนี้ในปี 2558 กิจกรรมต่างๆขององค์กร มีปริมาณการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกคิดเทียบต่อพนักงานเท่ากับ 478.84 กิโลกรัมคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่าต่อคนต่อปี และมีปริมาณการใช้น้ำเพื่อการดำเนินงานขององค์กรเป็น 19,306.85 ลูกบาศก์เมตรน้ำต่อปี หรือคิดเป็น 55.16 ลูกบาศก์เมตรน้ำต่อคนต่อปี
