            เมื่อเก็บศพไว้ครบ 7 วัน เช่น ตายในวันศุกร์ พอถึงวันพฤหัสบดีของสัปดาห์ต่อมา ก็นิมนต์พระ 7 รูป (พิธีทางราชการ 10 รูป) มาสวดพระพุทธมนต์เย็น ถวายอาหารบิณฑบาตเช้าในวันรุ่งขึ้น แล้วจะมีสดับปกรณ์ (สวดมาติกาบังสุกุล) แสดงพระธรรมเทศนาต่อก็ได้ หรือทำในตอนเช้าหรือตอนเพล โดยไม่ต้องสวดมนต์เย็นก็ได้
