Posted in: บทความ AEC สำคัญที่ควรอ่าน   07 สิงหาคม 2555อาเซียน คือ สมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Association of South East AsianNations หรือ ASEAN) โดยการจัดตั้งในครั้งแรกมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมและร่วมมือในเรื่องสันติภาพ, ความมั่นคง, เศรษฐกิจ, องค์ความรู้, สังคมวัฒนธรรม บนพื้นฐานความเท่าเทียมกันและผลประโยชน์ร่วมกันของประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ได้ก่อตั้งขึ้นโดย ปฏิญญากรุงเทพ (Bangkok Declaration) เมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม พ.ศ.2510 โดยมีผู้ร่วมก่อตั้ง 5 ประเทศคือ1.ไทย โดย พันเอก (พิเศษ) ถนัด คอมันตร์ (รัฐมนตรีต่างประเทศ)2.สิงคโปร์ โดย นายเอส ราชารัตนัม (รัฐมนตรีต่างประเทศ)3.มาเลเซีย  โดย ตุน อับดุล ราชัก บิน ฮุสเซน (รองนายกรัฐมนตรี รัฐมนตรีกลาโหมและรัฐมนตรีกระทรวงพัฒนาการแห่งชาติ)4.ฟิลิปปินส์ โดย นายนาซิโซ รามอส (รัฐมนตรีต่างประเทศ)5.อินโดนีเซีย โดย นายอาดัม มาลิก (รัฐมนตรีต่างประเทศ)ต่อมาได้มีประเทศต่างๆ เข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิกเพิ่มเติม คือ  8 ม.ค.2527 บรูไนดารุสซาลาม, 28 ก.ค. 2538  เวียดนาม, 23 ก.ค. 2540 สปป.ลาว และ พม่า, 30 เม.ย. 2542 กัมพูชา ทำให้ปัจจุบันมีสมาชิกอาเซียนทั้งหมด 10 ประเทศคำขวัญอาเซียน คือ หนึ่งวิสัยทัศน์, หนึ่งอัตลักษณ์, หนึ่งประชาคม (One Vision, One Identity, One Community)สัญลักษณ์อาเซียนรูปรวงข้าวสีเหลืองบนพื้นสีแดงล้อมรอบด้วยวงกลมสีขาวและสีน้ำเงิน-รูปรวงข้าวสีเหลือง 10 ต้น มัดรวมกันไว้ หมายถึง ประเทศสมาชิกรวมกันเพื่อมิตรภาพและความเป็นน้ำหนึ่งใจเดียวกัน-พื้นที่วงกลม สีแดง สีขาว และน้ำเงิน ซึ่งแสดงถึงความเป็นเอกภาพ-ตัวอักษรคำว่า “asean” สีน้ำเงิน อยู่ใต้ภาพรวงข้าวอันแสดงถึงความมุ่งมั่นที่จะทำงานร่วมกันเพื่อความมั่นคง สันติภาพ เอกภาพ และความก้าวหน้าของประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนสีน้ำเงิน  หมายถึง   สันติภาพและความมั่นคงสีแดง     หมายถึง   ความกล้าหาญ และความก้าวหน้าสีขาว      หมายถึง   ความบริสุทธิ์สีเหลือง  หมายถึง  ความเจริญรุ่งเรือง
