From my opinion, I never think it have a big Buddhist society in north America. I think about their activity is interesting because they give an important point to children. The west-end Buddhist have a dhamma school to train a young member in the way of Budddism for the children to grow to a good adult in the future, and adult who graduate from dhamma school, they have a skillful of meditation to manage their mind to calm when they lives in daily life, they have a virtue, ethics and moral based on the Buddhism to applies in normal life. So this is a society of a Buddhist people, children receive teaching of Buddhism and the teach put in their heart though teaching. But West-End Buddhism not only to meditation or Dhamma school, but they have an activity to social service as to meeting Soup Kitchen in collaboration with Downtown Good Shepherd Centre. I think is a good activity because it to help two society(west-end, normal social) connect each other. So the West-end Buddhist can bring the teaching of Buddha to applies for developing a western social and join for other religions organization(such as Soup Kitchen in collaboration with Downtown Good Shepherd Centre) for help a social to have a happiness. I think the joining of religious to developing social together is necessary, there not important as what is your religion ? The important that you are human and every religionscan help the world to has happiness together. I'm a Christianity, but I impressing to this Buddhist society. They give a important to build a quality people to country by rooting teaching of Buddhism to children, and no reject another religious but have a meeting and support them.
