นางทยา กล่าวว่า ก่อนหน้านี้กทม.ได้ปรับปรุงสถานที่ประปาแม้นศรี หรือบ้านอิ่มใจให้เป็นบ้านพักแก่คนไร้บ้าน ปรากฏว่าได้มีทั้งผู้ใหญ่และเด็กเข้ามาพักอาศัยทำให้เกิดปัญหาในการอาศัยอยู่ร่วมกัน เนื่องจากผู้ใหญ่และเด็กมีธรรมชาติที่แตกต่างกัน กทม.จึงได้มาตรวจเยี่ยมที่บ้านอุ่นใจ เพื่อหาแนวทางการย้ายเด็กและเยาวชนมาอยู่ที่นี้ โดยให้ที่บ้านอิ่มใจ เป็นที่อยู่ของคนไร้บ้านที่เป็นผู้ใหญ่เพื่อเป็นการแยกสัดส่วนที่ชัดเจน
นางทยา กล่าวด้วยว่า สำหรับการตรวจเยี่ยมบ้านอุ่นใจนั้น สถานที่ค่อนข้างมีความพร้อมในการรองรับเด็กแต่ต้องมีการปรับปรุงสถานที่เล็กน้อยรวมทั้งอบรมอาสาสมัครและเจ้าหน้าที่ในการดูแลงานในด้านนี้ คาดว่าจะใช้เวลาประมาณ 1 เดือนในการเตรียมทุกอย่างให้พร้อมก่อนจะทำการย้ายเด็กมาอยู่ที่นี่

ส่วนทางด้านศาลาว่าการกรุงเทพมหานคร(กทม.) พญ.มาลินี สุขเวชชวรกิจ รองผู้ว่าฯกทม. เป็นประธานการประชุมร่วมกับคณะกรรมการศูนย์อำนวยการพลังแผ่นดินเอาชนะยาเสพติดกรุงเทพมหานคร (ศพส.กทม.) ครั้งที่ 2/2555 เพื่อติดตามการดำเนินงานในการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหายาเสพติดในพื้นที่กรุงเทพฯ ซึ่งขณะนี้ ศพส.กทม. ได้ดำเนินโครงการ 'ชุมชนอุ่นใจได้ลูกหลานกลับคืน' ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในโครงการตามแผนปฏิบัติการแก้ไขปัญหายาเสพติดในพื้นที่ที่มีความรุนแรง ตามคำสั่งของศูนย์อำนวยการพลังแผ่นดินเอาชนะยาเสพติด เพื่อลดปัญหาการค้ายาเสพติดจากผู้ค้ารายย่อยในชุมชน และนำผู้เสพ ผู้ติดยาเสพติดในชุมชนเข้ารับการบำบัดการรักษาให้มากที่สุด
พญ.มาลินี กล่าวว่า ในส่วนของพื้นที่กรุงเทพฯ ได้ดำเนินโครงการนำร่องใน 12 ชุมชน 3 พื้นที่เขต ได้แก่ ชุมชนคลองเตยล็อค 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 และชุมชน 70 ไร่ เขตคลองเตย ชุมชนเคหะชุมชนร่มเกล้าโซน 5 และโซน 7 เขตลาดกระบัง ชุมชนมัสยิดบ้านสมเด็จ ชุมชนวัดใหญ่ศรีสุพรรณ และชุมชนวัดหิรัญรูจี เขตธนบุรี โดยมีระยะดำเนินการรวม 90 วัน ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 ต.ค. - 31 ธ.ค.2555 ซึ่งในปี 2556 จะขยายการดำเนินงานให้ครอบคลุมทั้ง 50 เขตต่อไป นอกจากนี้ กทม.จะร่วมมือกับกระทรวงศึกษาธิการในการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหายาเสพติดในโรงเรียนในพื้นที่กรุงเทพฯทั้งหมดด้วย
