โครงการศึกษาครั้งนี้ได้ตั้งวัตถุประสงค์ ดังต่อไปนี้
1.ศึกษากระบวนการและออกแบบสร้างใบพัดของกังหันที่สร้างจากพลาสติก โดยมีเหล็กเป็นโครงสร้างภายในเป็นองค์ประกอบ แบบกังหันแกนแนวตั้ง
2.วิเคราะห์สมรรถนะทางกลของใบพัดกังหันน้ำ โดยวิเคราะห์แรงที่กระทำต่อตัวใบพัด และความเค้น และความเครียด ที่เกิดขึ้นต่อใบพัด
ศึกษาทฤษฎีและข้อมูลการออกแบบและสร้างใบพัดกังหันน้ำแนวแกนตั้ง และ ศึกษาการคำนวณหาสมรรถนะทางกล และ ได้ทำการขึ้นรูปต้นแบบใบพัดกังหันน้ำจากโฟม โดยผ่านกระบวนการกัดขึ้นรูปจากแขนหุ่นยนต์ ที่เรียกว่า KUKA ROBOT โดยก่อนจะผ่านกระบวนการกัดขึ้นรูปจากโฟม ต้องทำการศึกษาทฤษฎี และ ศึกษาภาคปฎิบัติ และ การเขียน G-Code ผ่านโปรแกรม Deskproto 6.1 หลังจากผ่านกระบวนการกัดขึ้นรูปนั้นก็ได้ตัวต้นแบบใบพัดกังหันน้ำ ต่อจากนั้นซึ่งได้ทำการศึกษากระบวนการขึ้นรูปต่าง ๆ โดยการลองผิดลองถูก และได้ทำการศึกษากระบวนการขึ้นรูปมาก่อน
