หนังเรื่องนี้นำเสนอแบบ Single Set ถ่ายทำฉากเดียวตลอดทั้งเรื่องครับ ตัวละคร 'เจฟฟ์' (James Stewart) ช่างภาพใส่เฝือกเดินไปไหนมาไหนไม่ได้ต้องกายภาพบำบัดรอวันฟื้นตัว เขาเลือกจะฆ่าเวลาด้วยการเป็นถ้ำมองคอยสอดส่องดูเรื่องราวชีวิตเพื่อนบ้านผ่านทางหน้าต่าง
