การเดินทางสะดวก เป็นถนนลาดยางตลอดสาย ใช้เส้นทางเชียงราย-แม่จัน 28 กิโลเมตร เลยจากอำเภอแม่จันไป 1 กิโลเมตร มีทางแยกซ้ายไป 23 กิโลเมตร ผ่านหมู่บ้านผาเดื่อ ซึ่งเป็นจุดแวะชมและซื้อหัตถกรรมชาวเขา จากนั้นเดินทางจากบ้านอีก้อสามแยก (ทางขวาไปหมู่บ้านเทิดไทย) ตรงไปดอยแม่สลอง ระยะทาง 10 กิโลเมตร รวมระยะทางจากเชียงราย 64 กิโลเมตร และจากดอยแม่สลองมีถนนเชื่อมต่อไปถึงบ้านท่าตอน อำเภอฝาง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ระยะทาง 45 กิโลเมตร
