ขณะเดียวกัน เมื่อวันที่ 10 ก.ย. ที่ผ่านมา ที่ จ.ขอนแก่น “บังยี” วรวีร์ มะกูดี นายกสมาคมฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทย และวิมล กาญจนะ ประธานจัดการแข่งขันฟุตบอลเอไอเอส ลีกภูมิภาค ดิวิชั่น ได้ร่วมประชุมกับบรรดาตัวแทนของสโมสรในศึกเอไอเอสลีกฯโซนภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ โดยที่ประชุมมีมติมอบหมายให้ตัวแทนจาก 5 สโมสร ประกอบด้วย สโมสรศรีสะเกษ ยูไนเต็ด, ร้อยเอ็ด ยูไนเต็ด, สกลนคร เมืองไทย เอฟซี, มุกดาหาร ลำโขง และขอนแก่น ยูไนเต็ด เป็นตัวแทนของโซนอีสานไปเข้าร่วมประชุมใหญ่สามัญประจำปีของสมาคมฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทยฯ ซึ่งจะมีขึ้นในวันที่ 17 ก.ย. รวมไปถึงเป็นตัวแทนการลงคะแนนเสียงในการเลือกตั้งนายกสมาคมฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทยฯ ซึ่งจะมีขึ้นในวันที่ 17 ต.ค.
