บทคัดย่อ

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง โครงการศูนย์จัดแสดงเครื่องเงินและเครื่องประดับเงิน จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักในการศึกษาคือ เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ของโครงการ โดยทำการศึกษาแผนพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ ศึกษาแนวโน้มการขยายตัวทางด้านเศรษฐกิจของอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องเงินเครื่องประดับในประเทศไทย นอกจากนี้แล้วยังทำการศึกษาอาคารกรณีศึกษาประเภทเดียวกันทั้งในและต่างประเทศ เพื่อใช้ในการออกแบบอาคารนิทรรศการและแสดงสินค้าที่มีความถูกต้องเหมาะสมกับการใช้งาน
จากการศึกษาพบว่า ชุมชนวัวลาย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เป็นศูนย์กลางการทำหัตถกรรมเครื่องเงินเครื่องประดับเงินแหล่งใหญ่ที่มีศักยภาพในการผลิตวัตถุดิบ(เม็ดเงิน) ซึ่งจะสามารถช่วยลดต้นทุนการผลิตให้กับผู้ประกอบการได้ จึงมีความเหมาะสมที่จะเป็นสถานที่ตั้งโครงการ อีกทั้งในปัจจุบันหน่วยงานของภาครัฐยังเข้ามาให้การสนับสนุนในด้านการผลิตวัตถุดิบนี้ และให้การส่งเสริมการจำหน่ายเครื่องเงินเครื่องประดับเงินให้เป็นสินค้าส่งออกมากยิ่งขึ้นอีกด้วย
สำหรับแนวความคิดในการออกแบบโครงการศูนย์จัดแสดงเครื่องเงินและเครื่องประดับเงิน คือ การนำสถาปัตยกรรมล้านนามาประยุกต์ใช้ในการออกแบบส่วนต่างๆของอาคาร เช่น ในส่วนพื้นที่ใช้สอยภายนอกอาคาร มีการนำ ข่วง ชาน เติ๋น ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่เอนกประสงค์ของเรือนไทยล้านนา มาประยุกต์ใช้เป็นพื้นที่เอนกประสงค์สำหรับทำกิจกรรมจัดแสดงนิทรรศการกลางแจ้ง และพื้นที่ส่วนต้อนรับบริเวณทางเข้าอาคาร การวางอาคารแยกออกจากกันเป็นกลุ่ม การยกพื้นอาคารในส่วนห้องรับประทานอาหารเช่นเดียวกับลักษณะของเรือนไทย การใช้ลวดลายไทยของเครื่องเงินล้านนา มาสร้างเป็นลวดลายของเปลือกอาคารและแผงกันแดด และการเลือกใช้วัสดุมุงหลังคาจากกระเบื้องดินขอมุง ซึ่งเป็นวัสดุพื้นถิ่นของเชียงใหม่เพื่อให้เกิดความสอดคล้องกลมกลืนกับบริบทรอบข้างโครงการ
สำหรับแนวคิดด้านการจัดแสดง ในส่วนพื้นที่จัดแสดงนิทรรศการใช้การจัดแสดงแบบวนรอบ(LOOP) เพื่อให้เกิดความสะดวกในการใช้งานและง่ายต่อการดูแลรักษาความปลอดภัย ส่วนพื้นที่สำหรับให้ความรู้ ซึ่งประกอบด้วย 1. พื้นที่จัดแสดงแบบภาพฉายสามมิติ 2.พื้นที่จัดแสดงวิวัฒนาการเครื่องประดับ(Display Board) 3. พื้นที่ส่วนสาธิตการทำเครื่องประดับเงิน มีแนวคิดในการจัดแสดงแบบเชิงเส้น(Linear Procession) เพื่อให้ผู้เข้าชมทุกคนได้มีโอกาสเรียนรู้กับพื้นที่ในส่วนให้ความรู้ได้อย่างทั่วถึงครบทุกส่วนภายในโครงการ
โครงการศูนย์จัดแสดงเครื่องเงินและเครื่องประดับเงิน จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ตั้งอยู่ที่ ตำบลหายยา ถนนทิพย์เนตร อำเภอเมืองเชียงใหม่ จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ โดยมีองค์ประกอบในโครงการ 7 ส่วน คือ 1. ส่วนงานสำนักงาน 464.1 ตารางเมตร 2.ส่วนพื้นที่การจัดแสดง 2,293.6 ตารางเมตร 3.ส่วนบริการสาธารณะและพื้นที่เช่า 2,293.6 ตารางเมตร 4. ส่วนวิชาการ 498.8 ตารางเมตร 5. ส่วนบริการอาคาร 291.3 ตารางเมตร 6.ส่วนงานระบบ 724.4 ตารางเมตร 7.ส่วนที่จอดรถ 1,834.5 ตารางเมตร รวมพื้นที่ทั้งโครงการประมาณ 10,370 ตารางเมตร
