United States: Washington State: Expect travel disruption due to heavy rain, flooding, landslides
Members in western parts of Washington State should expect travel disruption on 10 December after the governor proclaimed a state of emergency following heavy rainfall which has caused flooding and landslides in various parts of the state.
On 9 December, all northbound lanes of interstate 5 were closed near Woodland. The authorities have also reported other roads blocked by fallen trees, landslides and flooding; power cuts have also been reported in various locations. Air travel is not currently affected.

• Monitor the National Weather Service website for up-to-date weather information and location-specific forecasts; be prepared to adjust travel itineraries accordingly.
• Some routes are blocked by flooding or landslides. Reconfirm the status of intended routes before setting out and ensure that destinations are accessible. Liaise with local contacts to ascertain the feasibility of specific journeys.
