แทนการตักบาตรจากอานิสงส์ดังกล่าวแต่ครั้งพุทธกาลชาวพุทธทั่วไปจึงถือเป็น
ประเพณี "ตักบาตรดอกไม้" เป็นประจำทุกปี ตลอดจนกระทั่งถึงปัจจุบันนี้
