SPECIAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATE - INCLUSIVE PRACTICES (JOB ID: 2017)

Salary Range: $48,178-58,462
Essential Functions:
- Support four schools’ implementation of:
o Inclusive practices for all students—including students with significant disabilities,
o Differentiated instruction,
planning and modification for student needs
o Effective school culture for the inclusion of students with disabilities—including those with significant disabilities,
o Problem solving process for school staff of successfully supporting students with disabilities.
- Understand vision and mission of four schools and how to provide services to kids in alignment with each school.
- Capture and documentation of school learning for dissemination to other schools and among special education department.
- Facilitate collaboration in inclusive practices across schools in order to share and leverage best practices in teaching and learning.
- Application and knowledge of effective instructional practices and data driven decision making focused on increasing student outcomes.
- Enhance the schools’ Special Education teams to effectively and efficiently manage special education services within their school by providing and reviewing special education data and related counsel and advice that will allow teams to more effectively manage special education issues within their schools.
Licensure & Certification:
Certification as a Special Education Teacher
Education & Experience:
-Degree in Special Education.
-Experience working in a K-12 public school environment.
-Experience working with students with disabilities.
-Experience working with diverse populations.
Other information:
This position is funded by Compact Blue, but will be part of Student Services.
