Quality Assurance หรือ QA คือการประกันคุณภาพของสินค้าและบริการ เพื่อให้ผู้บริโภคหรือผู้ใช้บริการเกิดความมั่นใจ โดยผู้ทำหน้าที่ QA จะเป็นผู้วางขั้นตอน กระบวนการ ในการดำเนินงานให้กับฝ่ายผลิตซึ่งจะมีผู้ทำหน้าที่ QC เป็นผู้ควบคุมคุณภาพ โดยการควบคุมการผลิตให้เป็นไปตามขั้นตอนและกระบวนการที่ QA ได้วางไว้เพื่อให้ได้คุณภาพที่ต้องการ จากนั้น QA จึงจะทำการตรวจสอบคุณภาพว่าได้มาตรฐานที่วางไว้หรือไม่
