งานวิจัยนี้ทำการศึกษาเตานึ่งเชื้อเห็ดประสิทธิภาพสูงที่มีการพัฒนาหม้อผลิตไอน้ำ โดยจะใช้เชื้อเพลิงจากไม้ฟืนในการนึ่งก้อนเชื้อเห็ด และออกแบบผนังด้านข้างทั้ง 3 ด้านให้กักเก็บน้ำ มีท่อความร้อนทั้งด้านบนและด้านล่าง จากการทดสอบหม้อผลิตไอน้ำ โดยต่อท่อผลิตไอน้ำเข้ากับตู้นึ่งก้อนเชื้อเห็ด พบว่า หม้อผลิตไอน้ำ สามารถบรรจุน้ำได้ 130 กิโลกรัม มีอัตราการผลิตไอน้ำ 21.48 กิโลกรัมต่อชั่วโมง สิ้นเปลืองไม้ฟืน 39.06 กิโลกรัมต่อชั่วโมง มีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด 19.73 เปอร์เซ็นต์เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับเตานึ่งก้อนเชื้อเห็ด 200 ลิตร (แบบเก่า) พบว่า สามารถประหยัดน้ำ ไม้ฟืนและเวลาได้ 41.80 54.55 และ 26.90 เปอร์เซ็นต์ นอกจากนี้เมื่อทำการศึกษาต้นทุนการนึ่งก้อนเชื้อเห็ด พบว่าต้นทุนรวมในการนึ่งก้อนเชื้อเห็ดเท่ากับ 0.34 บาทต่อก้อน คิดเป็นผลประหยัดเชื้อเพลิงจะได้ 56,198.40 บาทต่อปี
