วัดเชตุพนวิมลมังคลารามราชวรมหาวิหาร

วัดเชตุพนวิมลมังคลารามราชวรมหาวิหาร เป็นวัดโบราณสร้างในสมัยอยุธยา ไม่ปรากฏหลักฐานเกี่ยวกับการสร้าง เดิมเรียกว่า วัดโพธาราม หรือวัดโพธิ์ ยกฐานะขึ้นเป็นพระอารามหลวงในสมัยธนบุรี ในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราชโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้สถาปนาวัดนี้ใหม่ใน พ.ศ. ๒๓๓๑ โดยสร้างพระอุโบสถ พระระเบียง พระวิหาร ตลอดจนบูรณะของเดิม เมื่อเสร็จใน พ.ศ. ๒๓๔๔ โปรดเกล้าฯ พระราชทานนามว่า "วัดพระเชตุพนวิมลมังคลาวาส" เป็นวัดประจำรัชกาลพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราช วัดพระเชตุพนฯ ได้รับการบูรณปฏิสังขรณ์ครั้งใหญ่ในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว และได้โปรดเกล้าฯ ให้จารึกสรรพตำราต่างๆ ลงบนแผ่นหินอ่อนประดิษฐานไว้ตามศาลารายต่างๆ
