ปัจจุบันโครงการนี้บริหารงานโดย บริษัท เซ็นทรัลพัฒนา จำกัด (CPN) โดยในระยะแรกเป็นการปรับปรุงและต่อเติมอาคารสำนักงาน ที่ทางเจ้าของพื้นที่เดิมได้สร้างไว้แต่ยังไม่แล้วเสร็จ จากนั้นจึงเริ่มปรับปรุงในส่วนของศูนย์การค้าโดยเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น เซ็นทรัลเวิลด์พลาซ่า (Central World Plaza) และสร้างเซ็นทรัลเวิลด์สกายวอล์ก (CentralWorld Skywalk) ทางเชื่อมลอยฟ้าระหว่างสถานีรถไฟฟ้าบีทีเอส สถานีชิดลม และสถานีสยาม โดยความร่วมมือกับกรุงเทพมหานคร เพื่อรองรับลูกค้าที่เพิ่มขึ้นในอนาคต
