จากการศึกษาเอกสารและทฤษฎีที่เกี่ยวข้องได้กำหนดตัวแปรที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ดังนี้
ตัวแปรอิสระ (Independent Variable) ได้แก่ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลของนักศึกษาประกอบด้วย เพศ อายุ ระดับชั้นปีของนักศึกษาสาขาภาษาอังกฤษ
ตัวแปรตาม (Dependent Variable) ได้แก่ ปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกเรียนสาขาภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 สาขาภาษาอังกฤษ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฎบุรีรัมย์
