ปัจจุบันคนไทยได้รับผลกระทบทางด้านสุขภาพจากการบริโภคอาหารปนเปื้อนสารเคมีมากขึ้น ส่งผลต่อปัญหาด้านสุขภาพที่มีทั้งระยะสั้นและระยะยาว ซึ่งผู้บริโภคได้รับความรู้เกี่ยวกับการผลิตและความปลอดภัยเกี่ยวกับอาหารปนเปื้อนจากการเผยแพร่ทั้งในสื่อต่างๆ และเว็บไซต์ โดยรัฐบาลได้มีการส่งเสริมให้สร้างมาตรฐานในการรับรองความปลอดภัยของอาหารในลักษณะเครื่องหมายความปลอดภัยของอาหาร แต่ก็ยังมีผู้บริโภคบางส่วนที่ยังขาดความรู้ความเข้าใจในเรื่องความปลอดภัยด้านอาหาร และสินค้าที่ร้าน Q-Shop นำมาจำหน่ายนั้นได้มีการติดป้ายรับรองความปลอดภัยอยู่บนสินค้า แต่ก็ยังไม่มีการแสดงข้อมูลรายละเอียดของสินค้าเกษตรที่ได้การรับรองมาตรฐานความปลอดภัย จึงทำให้ผู้บริโภคบางคนต้องการที่จะตรวจสอบระดับความปลอดภัยของสินค้า เช่น ตรวจสอบใบรับรองสินค้า คุณภาพของสินค้า และแหล่งที่มาของสินค้าว่ามีความมีกระบวนการผลิตที่ปลอดภัยอย่างไร เป็นการสร้างความมั่นใจให้แก่ผู้บริโภคว่าสินค้าจากร้าน Q-Shop มีความปลอดภัยอย่างแท้จริง
งานวิจัยฉบับนี้จัดทำขึ้นโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างระบบติดตามและตรวจสอบย้อนกลับสินค้าจากแหล่งผลิต เพราะต้องการสร้างความมั่นใจให้กับผู้บริโภคโดยการนำเอาเทคโนโลยี QR-Code สมาร์ทโฟนหรือแท็บแล็ตมาใช้ในการติดตามและตรวจสอบย้อนกลับแหล่งผลิต
ผลการศึกษาและพัฒนาระบบงานมีดังนี้ 1) ระบบติดตามและตรวจสอบย้อนกลับคุณภาพคุณภาพของสินค้า โดยการใช้สมาร์ทโฟน Scan QR-Code ระบบจะแสดงข้อมูลวันเดือนปีที่ผลิต วันหมดอายุ ตามประเภทของสินค้า 2) ระบบตรวจสอบใบรับรองเป็นการประกันคุณภาพของสินค้าจากแหล่งผลิตที่ได้รับมาตรฐานระบบจะแสดงข้อมูลของรูปภาพและหมายเลขใบรับรอง 3) ระบบติดตามแหล่งผลิตเพื่อให้ทราบแหล่งที่ผลิตสินค้าตั้งอยู่ตำแหน่งใดโดยอาศัย Google Map API ในการค้นหาแหล่งที่ตั้งของผลิตภัณฑ์
