เมื่อวันที่ 28 มี.ค. ผู้สื่อรายงานจากพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติบ้านเชียง อ.หนองหาน จ.อุดรธานี ว่าสำนักพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ ได้ดำเนินการจัดทะเบียนโบราณวัตถุ เสร็จสิ้นตามกระบวนการทางพิพิธภัณฑสถานวิทยาเรียบร้อยแล้ว คือการนำโบราณวัตถุ ชำรุด เสียหาย ไปทำการซ่อมแซม สงวน รักษา เสร็จเรียบร้อยแล้ว จึงจัดส่งให้พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติบ้านเชียง จังหวัดอุดรธานี เพื่อนำมาจัดแสดงให้ประชาชนได้ชมในวันอนุรักษ์มรดกไทย 2 เม.ย.นี้



น.ส.พรศิริ เลิศเสถียรชัย ตำแหน่งภัณฑารักษ์ ปฏิบัติการ พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติบ้านเชียง อ.หนองหาน จ.อุดรธานี กล่าวว่า ทางคลังพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ ต.คลองห้า อ.คลองหลวง จ.ปทุมธานี ได้นำโบราณวัตถุ จำนวน 227 ชิ้น สมัยก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ แยกเป็นโบราณวัตถุที่พบทางภาคกลาง บ้านภูน้อย จ.ลพบุรี โบราณวัตถุภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ที่พบที่บ้านโนนนกทา จ.ขอนแก่น และโบราณวัตถุของชุมชนบ้านเชียง ซึ่งมีภาชนะเครื่องปั้นดินเผา เครื่องประดับสำริดเครื่องมือเครื่องใช้สำริดลูกปัดทำด้วยวัสดุอื่นๆ อีกจำนวนหนึ่ง จำนวน 100 ชิ้น รวมถึงโบราณวัตถุเหล่านี้ทางกระทรวงวัฒนธรรมได้รับคืนจากรัฐบาลสหรัฐอเมริกา

น.ส.พรศิริ กล่าวต่อว่า สำหรับในวันที่ 2 เม.ย. ถือว่าเป็นวันอนุรักษ์มรดกไทย ทางพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติบ้านเชียง จะได้นำโบราณวัตถุ จำนวน 227 ชิ้น ที่ได้รับมาเพื่อมาจัดแสดงให้ประชาชน นักท่องเที่ยวได้เข้าชมโบราณวัตถุอันล้ำค่า อายุมากกว่า 5,000 ปี ที่ห้องจัดการแสดงโบราณวัตถุ ที่อาคารสมเด็จพระบรมราชชนนี ทางพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติบ้านเชียง จึงขอเชิญชาวนักท่องเที่ยวเข้าชมโบราณวัตถุ ได้ตั้งแต่วันที่ 2 เม.ย. ถึง 31 ก.ค. 2558
