รายงานเชิงวิชาการเรื่อง สงกรานต์ประเพณีไทย มีวัตถุประสงค์เพี่อ 1. เพื่อศึกษาและรวบรวมข้อมูลทั่วไปของประเพณีสงกรานต์ 2. เพื่อศึกษาเอกลักษณ์และความแตกต่างของประเพณีสงกรานต์ในแต่ละภูมิภาคของไทย 3.เพื่อศึกษาวิธีการอนุรักษ์และสืบสานประเพณีสงกรานต์ มีวิธีรวบรวมข้อมูลคือ ศึกษาค้นคว้า บันทึกสิ่งที่ได้ศึกษาและได้พบโดยละเอียด แล้วรวบรวมและเรียบเรียงข้อมูลที่ได้จากการศึกษาค้นคว้า จากนั้นก็นำมาเขียนเป็นรายงานพร้อมสรุปและอภิปรายผลนำเสนอครูผู้สอน เพื่อจะได้จัดทำรายงานเพื่อนำเสนอเป็นรายงานเชิงวิชาการต่อไป ผลการศึกษาพบว่า คนไทยทราบถึงข้อมูลทั่วไปของประเพณีสงกรานต์ และให้ความสำคัญกับประเพณีสงกรานต์เป็นอย่างมาก ถือเป็นประเพณีที่มีความผูกพันกับคนไทยมานาน ประเพณีสงกรานต์ในประเทศไทยมีความแตกต่างกันออกไปอย่างเห็นได้ชัด เช่น การละเล่น การจัดกิจกรรมและการแสดงที่ผสมผสานของท้องถิ่น ซึ่งจะทำให้คนไทยเกิดความภาคภูมิใจในการมีส่วนร่วมในการอนุรักษ์ ส่งเสริมประเพณีอันดีงามนี้ให้ดำรงอยู่คู่คนไทยต่อไป
