นับถอยหลังใน พ.ศ. 2558 10 ประเทศอาเซียน ได้แก่ บรูไน กัมพูชา อินโดนีเซีย ลาว มาเลเซีย เมียนมาร์ ฟิลิปปินส์ สิงคโปร์ ไทย และเวียดนาม ก็จะมีการรวมตัวกันเป็นประชาคมอาเซียน หรือ สมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Association of South East Asian Nations : ASEAN) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ร่วมกันในการสร้างสันติภาพในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ อันนำมาซึ่งเสถียรภาพทางการเมือง ความก้าวหน้าทั้งทางด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และวัฒนธรรม และเพื่อการเตรียมความพร้อมในการต้อนรับสู่ประชาคมอาเซียน เราคนคนไทยที่เป็นหนึ่งในประชาชนประชาคมอาเซียน จำเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ต้องเรียนรู้ และรู้จักกับประเทศสมาชิก ทั้งภาษา ประเพณี วัฒนธรรมต่าง ๆ เพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจและง่ายในการปรับตัวสู่การเป็นประชาคมอาเซียน ซึ่ง วันนี้กระปุกดอทคอม ก็มีข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับเมืองหลวงของ 10 ประเทศสมาชิกมาให้รู้จักกัน ว่าแล้วก็ตามไปทำความรู้จักกันเลยค่ะ

เมืองหลวงอาเซียน

บรูไน

บันดาร์ เสรี เบกาวัน เมืองหลวงของประเทศบรูไน ก่อตั้งเมื่อคริสตศตวรรษที่ 8 (พุทธศตวรรษที่ 13) ตั้งอยู่ทางตอนเหนือของแม่น้ำบรูไน มีพื้นที่ 1,395 ตารางกิโลเมตร มีประชากรประมาณ 1.4 แสนคน โดยมีชาวบรูไนกับมาเลย์เป็นประชากรหลัก และมีชาวจีนอาศัยเป็นชนกลุ่มน้อย

ด้านสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่สำคัญของเมืองบันดาร์ เสรี เบกาวัน มีมากมายหลายแนว แยกเป็นสถานที่สำคัญทางศาสนาก็ต้องไปที่ มัสยิดสุลต่าน โอมาร์ อาลี ไซฟัดดิน ซึ่งเป็นมัสยิดทองคำสไตล์อิตาลี หรือถ้าหากต้องการชมวิถีชีวิตคนที่นี่ ก็ต้องไปที่ หมู่บ้านริมน้ำ Kampong Ayer ติดแม่น้ำบรูไน ยาวกว่า 8 กิโลเมตร ที่แห่งนี้นับว่าถูกบรรจุเป็นมรดกโลก มีผู้อาศัยกว่า 3 หมื่นครัวเรือน และอายุมากกว่า 1 พันปีแล้ว

กัมพูชา

พนมเปญ เมืองหลวงของประเทศกัมพูชา ตั้งอยู่ริมฝั่งแม่น้ำโขง มีพื้นที่ 678 ตารางกิโลเมตร มีประชากรราว 2,250,000 ล้านคน นับว่ามากที่สุดในกัมพูชา และเป็นแหล่งเศรษฐกิจที่สำคัญที่สุดของประเทศอีกด้วย

สำหรับประวัติกรุงพนมเปญ ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1372 (พ.ศ. 1915) และเป็นเมืองหลวงของกัมพูชา ก่อนที่จะย้ายเมืองไปย้ายเมืองมา เนื่องจากถูกรุกรานจากอาณาจักรกรุงศรีอยุธยาและเวียดนามสลับกันโจมตี กระทั่งกัมพูชาเป็นอาณานิคมของฝรั่งเศส ทำให้ ค.ศ. 1865(พ.ศ. 2408) ในยุคของพระเจ้านโรดมที่ 1 กรุงพนมเปญจึงถูกตั้งเป็นเมืองหลวงอีกครั้ง

อินโดนีเซีย

จาการ์ตา เมืองหลวงของประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นประเทศที่มีพื้นที่มากที่สุดในอาเซียน ตั้งอยู่ทางตอนเหนือของเกาะชวา ติดทะเลชวา มีเนื้อที่ 740 กิโลเมตร มีประชากรประมาณ 10 ล้านคน และเป็นที่ตั้งของสำนักงานอาเซียนด้วย

สำหรับกรุงจาการ์ตา ก่อตั้งตั้งแต่ ค.ศ. 397 (พ.ศ. 940) และเป็นเมืองหลวงของอินโดนีเซียมาอย่างยาวนานตั้งแต่ก่อนเป็นอาณานิคมของเนเธอร์แลนด์จนถึงปัจจุบัน

สัญลักษณ์ที่สำคัญที่สุดของกรุงจาการ์ตา ได้แก่ อนุเสาวรีย์ประจำชาติอินโดนีเซีย (โมนาส) ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นอนุเสาวรีย์ที่สร้างโดยมีส่วนประกอบของทองคำ ในยุคของประธานาธิบดีซูการ์โน ผู้ประกาศเอกราชให้อินโดนีเซียปลดแอกจากเนเธอร์แลนด์ได้

เมืองหลวงอาเซียน

ลาว

กรุงเวียงจันทน์ เมืองหลวงของลาว ตั้งอยู่ริมแม่น้ำโขง และมีอาณาเขตติดต่อกับประเทศไทย มีเนื้อที่ 3,920 ตารางกิโลเมตร มีประชากรประมาณ 7 แสนคน นับว่ามากที่สุดในประเทศ

เดิมนั้นลาวมีเมืองหลวงคือ หลวงพระบาง ทว่าในช่วง ค.ศ. 1563 (พ.ศ. 2106) เป็นต้นมา พระเจ้าไชยเชษฐาธิราชแห่งอาณาจักรล้านช้าง ก็ได้ตั้งเวียงจันทน์เป็นเมืองหลวงแทน เพื่อหลีกหนีการรุกรานของพระเจ้าบุเรงนองแห่งอาณาจักรหงสาวดี

สำหรับสถานที่สำคัญของกรุงเวียงจันทน์ มีอยู่ 2 สถานที่ด้วยกัน ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นสถานที่ที่เป็นประวัติศาสตร์ของเมืองด้วย ได้แก่ หอพระแก้ว ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่ในการเก็บพระแก้วของลาว กับวัดพระธาตุหลวง เป็นวัดที่เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของลาว และสร้างพระธาตุหลวงด้วยทองคำ

เมืองหลวงอาเซียน

มาเลเซีย

กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ เมืองหลวงของมาเลเซีย ก่อตั้งประมาณ ค.ศ. 1850 (พ.ศ. 2393) มีเนื้อที่ประมาณ 243 ตารางกิโลเมตร มีประชากรราว 1.6 ล้านคน ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นเมืองที่มีประชากรมากสุดของประเทศ เมื่อมองทางด้านเชื้อชาติของผู้อาศัยในกรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ พบว่า เป็นชาวมาเลย์และชาวจีนเป็นส่วนใหญ่ ขณะที่ชาวอินเดียมีเพียงเล็กน้อยเท่านั้น

สำหรับสัญลักษณ์ยุคใหม่ของกรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ที่ใคร ๆ ก็รู้จัก คงหนีไม่พ้นตึกแฝดเปโตรนาสอย่างแน่นอน

เมืองหลวงอาเซียน

กรุงเนปิดอว์ เมืองหลวงแห่งใหม่ของพม่า ซึ่งย้ายมาจากกรุงย่างกุ้งมาตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2548 มีเนื้อที่ประมาณ 7,024 ตารางกิโลเมตร มีประชากรราว 9 แสนคน และเพิ่งเปิดให้นักท่องเที่ยวเข้ามาท่องเที่ยวได้ในปีนี้ (พ.ศ. 2555) เอง

สำหรับการย้ายเมืองหลวงมายังกรุงเนปิดอว์ ยังไม่ทราบเหตุผลที่แน่ชัด แต่เท่าที่หลายฝ่ายวิเคราะห์ อาจจะเป็นเพราะต้องการตั้งเมืองหลวงในใจกลางประเทศ เพื่อยุทธศาสตร์ทางการทหาร ต่างจากย่างกุ้งที่อยู่ใกล้ทะเลมากเกินไป หรือไม่ก็ต้องการฟื้นฟูธรรมเนียมดั้งเดิม เมื่อมีการเปลี่ยนราชวงศ์ก็ต้องย้ายเมืองหลวง

เนปิดอว์ แม้ว่าจะเป็นเมืองที่สร้างใหม่ แต่ก็มีสถานที่ที่น่าสนใจ อาทิ อนุเสาวรีย์ 3 กษัตริย์พม่าได้แก่ พระเจ้าอโนรธา แห่งเมืองพุกาม พระเจ้าบุเรงนอง แห่งเมืองหงสาวดี และพระเจ้าอลองพญาแห่งชเวโบ กลางเมืองเนปิดอว์ นอกจากนี้ ยังจำลองเจดีย์ชเวดากองในเมืองอีกด้วย ชื่อว่า มหาเจดีย์อุปปตศานติ
