มนุษย์มีการเรียนรู้อยู่ตลอดเวลาทั้งในห้องเรียนและนอกห้องเรียน การท่องเที่ยวก็เป็นการเรียนรู้อีกรูปแบบหนึ่ง อีกทั้งการท่องเที่ยวก็ยังเป็นกิจกรรมที่มนุษย์ส่วนใหญ่ทำกันในเวลาว่าง เพื่อให้เกิดความรู้สึกผ่อนคลาย ความสนุก และยังเป็นการสร้างสัมพันธภาพที่ดีในครอบครัวหรือกลุ่มเพื่อนอีกด้วย สถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในประเทศไทยมีหลายแห่งที่น่าสนใจ และจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี ก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งแห่งที่น่าลองไปสัมผัสมาก เพราะมีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวมากมายหลายแห่งที่น่าสนใจ
ข้าพเจ้าจึงมีแนวคิดที่จะจัดทำโครงงานเรื่องสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี ขึ้นมา เพื่อศึกษารวบรวมสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว เขื่อนรัชชประภา "กุ้ยหลินเมืองไทย" เขาสก และทุกคนสามารถศึกษาข้อมูลได้จริงแล้วนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ได้
