นางสาวมานีสงค์ ปฐมวิริยะวงศ์ (2550) ทำการศึกษาวิจัยเรื่อง การใช้ประโยชน์และความพึงพอใจต่อเว็บไซต์สถาบันของนักศึกษาสถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าพระนครเหนือ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการใช้ เหตุผลที่ใช้เว็บไซต์ ลักษณะของการใช้ประโยชน์ และระดับความพึงพอใจต่อเว็บไซต์สถาบันของนักศึกษา ใช้วิธีการสำรวม สุ่มตัวอย่างนักศึกษาจำนวน 400 คน พบว่า พฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บไซต์สถาบันมีความถี่ 1 – 3 ครั้งต่อเดือน แต่ละครั้งใช้เวลา 15 – 29 นาที ส่วนใหญ่เข้าเว็บไซต์เพื่อรับทราบข้อมูลข่าวสาร และเพื่อติดต่อสื่อสารกับสถาบันในระบบของการลงทะเบียน การตรวจสอบผลการศึกษา และการสืบค้นข้อมูลประกอบการศึกษา วิจัย และรายงาน ผลเปรียบเทียบด้านเพศ ระดับการศึกษา และรายได้ พบว่าไม่มีผลต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บไซต์สถาบัน แต่นักศึกษาที่มีเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ และโมเด็มของตนเองจะมีพฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บไซต์แตกต่างกับนักศึกษาที่ไม่มีอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 ประเด็นความต้องการของนักศึกษา มากที่สุด คือ ต้องการให้เว็บไซต์ของสถาบันปรับปรุงข้อมูลให้ทันสมัยอยู่เสมอ รองลงมาคือควรปรับปรุงการออกแบบตกแต่งเว็บไซต์ และจัดหมวดหมู่ให้เป็นระเบียบเพื่อสืบค้นได้ง่าย มีข้อเสนอแนะให้เพิ่มความสามารถของเครื่องบริการ เพื่อการเชื่อมโยงกับเว็บไซต์ที่น่าสนใจ เพิ่มช่องทางการติดต่อสื่อสารกับผู้บริหาร อาจารย์ที่ปรึกษา และผู้เชี่ยวชาญ
