ปี 2506 หลวงปู่เต้ กิตฺติธมฺโม ซึ่งเป็นพระนิกายธรรมยุต ได้ธุดงค์มาปักกรดที่วัดพระเจ้าองค์ตื้อ และได้ชักชวนชาวบ้าน ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน ญาติโยม บูรณะปฏิสังขรณ์สร้างกุฏีขึ้น 1 หลัง ศาลาการเปรียญ 1 หลัง ฐานอุโบสถก่อสร้างด้วยอิฐ ฉาบด้วยยางไม้ กว้าง 8เมตร ยาว 16 เมตร เมตร เมื่อบูรณปฏิสังขรณ์เสร็จ 3 ปีท่านก็ธุดงค์ต่อไป
