งานวิจัยนี้ทำการศึกษาการปรับปรุงชีวมวล 2 ชนิด คือ ไม้ยูคาลิปตัสและไม้สนที่อุณหภูมิ 250 และ 280 ºC ด้วยกระบวนการ torrefaction โดยใช้เตาไมโครเวฟและเตาเผาอุณหภูมิสูง ซึ่งใช้ไฟฟ้าจากการเผาไหม้ถ่านหินลิกไนต์ น้ำมันดีเซล และก๊าซธรรมชาติ
