การวิจัยนี้ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์การวิจัย คือ 1) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จของสหกรณ์ออมทรัพย์ครูสมุทรปราการ จำกัด และ 2) เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบหลักการดำเนินงานของสหกรณ์ออมทรัพย์ครูสมุทรปราการ จำกัด โดยผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก ได้แก่ ผู้จัดการสหกรณ์ รองผู้จัดการ เจ้าหน้าที่สหกรณ์และ สมาชิกสหกรณ์ จำนวนผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก 13 คน โดยการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก (In-depth interview) การจดบันทึก และการศึกษาค้นคว้าข้อมูลจากเอกสารทางวิชาการและข้อมูลจากสื่อเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จของสหกรณ์ออมทรัพย์ครูสมุทรปราการ จำกัด มีปัจจัยที่โดดเด่นอยู่ 5 ด้าน คือ ด้านกลยุทธ์ ด้านโครงสร้าง ด้านระบบ ด้านรูปแบบการบริหาร ด้านบุคลากร และปัจจัยที่ไม่โดดเด่นอยู่ 2 ด้าน คือ ด้านทักษะ ด้านค่านิยม และ 2) รูปแบบหลักการการดำเนินงานของสหกรณ์ออมทรัพย์ครูสมุทรปราการ จำกัด มีหลักการดำเนินการดังนี้ คือ 1) ระดมหุ้นและเงินฝากจากสมาชิก 2) ให้เงินกู้แก่สมาชิกและสหกรณ์อื่นกู้ยืมเงิน 3) ให้สวัสดิการตามความเหมาะสมแก่สมาชิก 4) ร่วมมือกับสถาบันการเงิน หน่วยงานสหกรณ์อื่น 5) การปรับเปลี่ยนนโยบายของกรรมการ 6) สร้างผลิตภัณฑ์ทางการเงิน
