- มีการปรับแนวเส้นทางหลวงพิเศษระหว่างเมืองสายเชียงใหม่-เชียงรายเดิม ได้แก่ ทางหลวงพิเศษระหว่างเมือง สายเชียงใหม่-นราธิวาส (M1) และหลวงพิเศษระหว่างเมือง สาย เชียงใหม่-ลำปาง (อ.แจ้ห่ม) (M11)
