จากการตรวจสอบล่าสุด พบว่า มีเว็บไซต์ที่เข้าข่ายรับพนันฟุตบอลประมาณ 300 เว็บไซต์ ซึ่งกระทรวงไอซีที ได้สั่งปิดไปแล้วประมาณ 100 เว็บไซต์ และบางส่วนเริ่มปิดตัวเองลงแล้วประมาณ 100 เว็บไซต์ แต่ยังคงเหลือเว็บไซต์อยู่ประมาณ 5 – 6 เว็บ ที่มีเซิร์ฟเวอร์อยู่ในต่างประเทศ ซึ่งกระทรวงได้มีการป้องกันโดยการปิดทางเชื่อมต่อของเว็บที่เข้าออกประเทศในประเทศไทย
พร้อมทั้งยืนยันว่า สามารถตรวจสอบเซิร์ฟเวอร์ได้ว่าอยู่ที่ใด และจะดำเนินการปิดเว็บไซต์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการพนันฟุตบอล แต่หากพบว่ายังมีการลักลอบเปิดให้บริการอีกครั้ง ก็อาจมีความจำเป็นที่จะต้องปิดเซิร์ฟเวอร์แม่ข่าย แต่อาจส่งผลกระทบกับเว็บไซต์อื่นที่ใช้เซิร์ฟเวอร์เดียวกัน ทั้งนี้ได้เตือนผู้ที่เปิดบัญชีผ่านธนาคารเพื่อให้ลูกค้าโอนเงินเข้าบัญชีผ่านทางอินเทอร์เน็ต กระทรวงไอซีทีได้ประสานให้ธนาคารส่งข้อมูลให้อยู่เป็นระยะ ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ที่พบว่าจะเป็นตัวแทนที่มารับจ้างเปิดบัญชีแทนเท่านั้น
