รัฐบาลเชิญชวนผู้สูงอายุ ที่เกิดก่อน 1 ตุลาคม 2499 หวังช่วยเพิ่มคุณภาพชีวิต เพื่อสร้างความมั่นคงระยะยาว

โฆษกประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี กล่าวถึงนโยบายการจ่ายเงินเบี้ยยังชีพผู้สูงอายุและผู้พิการของรัฐบาล เพื่อลดความเลื่อมล้ำในสังคมและยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชนว่า ที่ผ่านมารัฐบาลได้เพิ่มเบี้ยยังชีพผู้สูงอายุเป็นแบบขั้นบันได โดยผู้ที่มีอายุ 60 – 69 ปี ได้รับเงินยังชีพ 600 บาทต่อเดือน อายุ 70 - 79 ปี ได้รับเดือนละ 700 บาท อายุ 80 – 89 ปี ได้รับเดือนละ 800 บาท และ 90 ปีขึ้นไป ได้รับเดือนละ 1,000 บาท ส่วนผู้พิการได้รับเบี้ยยังชีพเดือนละ 800 บาท

โดยรัฐบาลขอชวนเชิญพี่น้องประชาชนที่จะมีอายุครบ 60 ปีบริบูรณ์ในวันที่ 30 ก.ย. 2559 ที่เกิดก่อน 1 ตุลาคม 2499 และผู้พิการที่ยังไม่ได้ลงทะเบียนขอรับเบี้ยยังชีพไปลงทะเบียนได้จนถึงวันที่ 30 พฤษจิกายน 2558 ณ ที่ทำการปกครองที่ตนเองมีชื่ออยู่ในทะเบียนบ้าน โดยจะได้รับเบี้ยยังชีพตั้งแต่เดือน ตุลาคม 2559 เป็นต้นไป
