เมื่อหันมามองในส่วนของวิศวกรโยธา กับกรณีปัญหาตึกถล่ม ถ้ามองกันอย่างเป็นธรรม ไม่คิดว่าเกิดจากวิศวกรโยธาโดยตรงอย่างเดียว แต่น่าจะมีปัญหาในเรื่องของตัวบุคคลหรือองค์กรเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้องด้วย เช่น การขาดความรับผิดชอบของแต่ละคนที่เกี่ยวข้อง การเห็นแก่ตัวของผู้ประกอบการ การลดต้นทุนโดยไม่คานึงถึงผลเสีย เป็นต้น เพราะฉะนั้นในเรื่องของกระบวนการอะไรก็ตามที่เกี่ยวกับความปลอดภัยของประชาชน หน่วยงานในส่วนของราชการที่ควบคุมดูแลต้องทางานกันอย่างจริงจัง ความจริงเราก็มีหน่วยงานที่กากับดูแลเป็นอย่างดีแล้ว เช่น สภาวิศวกร ทาหน้าออกกฎเกณฑ์มาควบคุมไม่ว่าจะเป็นเรื่องของหลักสูตรในกระบวนการผลิตวิศวกร จรรยาบรรณของวิศวกร ใบอนุญาตประกอบวิชาชีพวิศวกรรม (กว.) เท่าที่ทราบ วิศวกรสาขาที่เกี่ยวกับความปลอดภัย จะต้องมีการทดสอบความรู้ ทดสอบจริยธรรมและต้องมีการสะสมประสบการณ์พอสมควร จึงจะสามารถไปทางานที่มีขนาดใหญ่ขึ้นได้
